2019
Where did it all start?
The story started in 2019 – just like many of the best ideas in Finland – on sauna benches. The conversation revolved around sunglasses: What does it really cost to make quality glasses? We were curious, so we decided to find out.
We began to explore materials, manufacturing methods, and pricing structures. The deeper we delved, the clearer it became: there might be more to this than just an idea.
When we got our hands on the first draft - the idea for the company was ready .

2020
First collection
Once we had the first drafts in hand, the dream became a reality. In 2020, we launched our first collection , consisting of six different models. Each of them reflected our original idea: combining lightness, fit and 100% UV protection with a stylish design.
This is where it all really started.

2023
Golf sunglasses
Golf is our passion and one of our dreams was to develop the perfect sunglasses for golf courses. In 2022, we tested different lens technologies and tints to find out what works best for golfers - whether in bright sunlight, partly cloudy weather or when reading the shapes of the greens.
In the end, we chose the best possible materials and refined the design until we could proudly stand behind our promises: HEJO GOLF is optimal for the golf course.
This is how the first models Valeca and Shela were born.

2024
Leisure collection update
In 2024, we set out to develop the leisure collection to a new level. We toured factories and trade fairs, looking for inspiration and exploring how we could combine the best materials and lenses on the market into one whole – without the price getting out of hand.
We released eight new models and the result was an updated collection where quality meets modern trends.

2025
HEJO x Teen Forest
In 2024, we wanted to take our golf sunglasses to the next level – and create a collection specifically for female golfers. We had a clear vision, but we knew that the best outcome would come from collaboration.
We had the idea to invite professional golfer Tia Teinikedo to join us. Together with Tia, we went through the challenges of female golfers and the details that make glasses really work on the course – in terms of fit, lightness, and field of vision.
The end result was the HEJO x Teiniketo collection, which is designed specifically for female golfers.
